I have been out of therapy for like 4 months now and I will be starting my second semester in college! My major is Early Childhood Development! I chose that major because I love being around babies. Babies are basically what kept me alive! The reason I say that is because at the time of my accident my two sisters were both pregnant!Anyways in August my oldest sis had her son and I am his nanny and I named him. My other sis also had a son! He was the first baby of the new year for 2002! I also say that cause all my life I want to work with children.OMG and I just finished my first ever real job since my accident! I worked in a daycare with little babies from newborn to age 2! I HAD SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!

Alot has changed about me.It has been one year since my accident and I am now 19! I guess you could say I am all grown up with my TBI! *LOL* I have let my guard down and let people old and new into my life! I love life now sometimes it gets hard and I get scared or nervous but I keep on going and when I am done it is easier and I had no reason to be scared!

Like I said before I am changing my way right now as we speak my life really does change everyday! I can do everything except drive by myself! I'm working on driving though!I just had eye surgery also!

Ok here I go.

From what I am told on June 9th me my friend and my boyfriend were going out that night. We were on our way to a place called Abbeville (that is a town) and my boyfriend was driving my car and we ended up skidding into the ditch and hit a mailbox. My boyfriend Brandon got out of the car to call his dad for help and me and my friend Ashley stayed in the car cause we were scared. Water started to come in the car so me and my friend decided to get out and stand on the side of the road. We got out and another car that lost control skidded and hit both me and my friend. They had lots of water on the road cause like two days ago we had a tropical storm. Me and my friend were transported to the hospital Lafayette General and she only stayed a night there but I was in a coma. I stayed in my coma for 10 days but when I woke up I wasn't fully up though. After like a month I was transferred to Touro Infirmary in New Orleans.

I spent like two months there but my parents stayed there with me. I am fully recovered except my TBI and I can't properly use my rght hand and I had to learn to walk, write, and talk again. I am right handed so it is a bit of a problem for me. I am going to occupational and physical therapy. I was going to speech but I finished that. I started therapy in August.

I have lost all but two of my friends. I only talk to few people I graduated with on the phone. I remember nothing about it I have just heard stories about it.
