Hi, my name is Sandra Bonekamp. Six years ago, I was in a car accident. I broke my wind shield with my head. 'oach' They rushed me to the hospital. They put me in the cats scan machine and I went in to cardiac arrest. They did open heart massage on me.
I have been through a lot of therapies, like speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. In speech therapy we worked on improving my memory and talking more clearly. In occupational therapy we worked on a lot of things like car transfers and balance. In physical therapy we worked on exercises.
I have a daughter. Her name is Samantha and she is 15 years old. When I had my accident, she was 8 years old. She lives with my sister in Lac de Bonnet now. She comes to visit me on the weekends. We have fun when she visits. We go to the Forks a lot. We go shopping. We go to a lot of festivals, both in the summer and in the winter.
My life is different now. Although I work hard, I still have a lot of fun.
