Update 10/10/02

Well, as some of you know, from meeting me at the Ohio Bash. I recovered from my second craniotomy.Where they were scheduled to clip 3 aneurysms. My neurosurgeon found a fourth one ,that did not show on any tests. So he taped that one. Still, I have one remaining, that is inoperable. Keeping close eye on it,they say. But, hey, between you and me I know what's going to happen. So, I try as best as I can to enjoy life and be with the people I love the most. My Daughter, Mandy and someone else that is the ultimate special person in my life.CB. Love ya. That's all for now. Sorry it took soo long. Just had to get a grip on my life.

Bless Rosy

Original Story

Oct. 27 , 1998, was a very fatal day . (without me knowing it. )

I woke up early that day because my husband had to drive our neighbors to the airport and go to work after a 2 week holiday. It was 5:30 a.m. I stayed up 'til 5 to 7 a.m. ,then decided to go back to bed for a snooze 'til it was time to wake my daughter up at 7:45 a.m. Around 7:10 a.m. I came to, and my daughter discovered me thrashing in my bed wondering what was wrong with me . I told her I couln't feel my leg and to call my neighbor next door or 911 if he wasn't at home . I did recall hearing a popping sound in my neck thinking I pinched a nerve and that's why I was paralized. Later, the feeling in my leg came back and was able to go to the clinic who refered me to the best hospital in Canada, the Royal Victoria Hospital. I was eventually diagnosed with a subarachnoid hemorage with meant a ruptured brain aneurysm and at the same time they discovered 5 more . 2 on one side and 4 on the other side of my brain. I had a 50/50 chance of survival, for fixing the ruptured one and the one near it. I am thankful to be able to live on this planet among the living, I have survived a 100 % , no damage done. I was soo very lucky. I have to go back now to have the rest of my " ticking time bombs " clipped It should be between now and October. But, there is 1 that they might not be able to fix because it's in a very dangerous spot. I have another problem, our nurses are on strike and the back-log of surgeries are over whelming. This surgeries shouldn't be has bad as the first one so I should be o.k. but it's so scary now that I know what's going on. I'm only 37 years old
