Advocacy and awareness of the arts by survivors of brain injuries or any other neurological disorder is the core of our mission. "Artists with Brain Injuries" website originated on behalf of my daughter, Janice "Blu", who experienced traumatic brain injury at age 27 caused by a car accident of whom the driver of the car she was in, was arrested for dui due to her severe permanent injuries. As an artist prior to her accident, I was moved to share her works then began expanding the website on behalf of other survivors of traumatic brain injuries and now it includes also other neurological disorders and disabilities.

From a seed grew a luscious garden of beauty where art, mosiacs, music, poetry, photography or other writings were the catharsis and the process that enabled many towards their various levels of recovery to share with others their creative works.

In Support of "Artists with Brain Injuries" and the Humanities of the Arts:

"Tear Drop" Graphics by "Slyvie" are designed for the purpose of our Website Link "Artists with Brain Injuries" be included in other websites as an advocacy effort to bring awareness of the various modes/mediums in the arts by those that have experienced traumatic brain injuries (TBI) acquired brain injuries (ABI), cerebral vascular injury (CVI..strokes) or any other neurological disorders.

To touch the mind and soul of those artists, musicians, photographers, writers, and poets so as to inspire them to attempt to resume their art as all the participants of
"Artists with Brain Injuries" website have accomplished despite the incredible challenges they have overcome with their disabilities at many different levels of recovery each one has endured.

Please email us if you wish to participate in adopting a "Tear Drop" Graphic in support of artworks,writings,mosiac artworks, photography, and musician of surivors of Brain Injuries or other neurological disorders.

Various "Tear Drop" Graphics will be posted for your convenience. Customized ones will be at "Slyvie's" (designer) discretion as to feasability and her availability as she too is a caregiver to her son "Lee" an artist and also survivor of Traumatic Brain Injury due to motor vehicle accident in the UK, just like my daughter Janice "Blu".
