Well my wife suffered a car accident on March 20, 2002. She was on her way to go to the place I work and had a accident. She lost control of her car and ran into a ditch then the car began to roll and threw her from the car. She was air lifted to a trauma hospital 4 hours away. It looked scary for the first 10 days she was in a coma and wouldn't respond to anything. The doctors didn't give her a hope for recovery. They told me to seek out other alternatives that if she didn't come to she would be severely brain damaged. We were told that we might want to think about removing life support and letting her go on her own. I refused and said I would never give up hope. Then 11 days later she awakens from her coma. She still didn't look to good for her. She would just stare and look up and not do more than that. Well we never gave up hope for her. 3 months later she started to talk then a week after that she began to walk then 2 weeks after that she started to eat regular food. It is still going to be a long road for us but I am willing to stick with my wife every step of the way. When a lot of people say I love you I don't think that they know what those words mean. For better or for worse really does mean for better of for worse. God has made a miracle in my life. She speaks of her accident and tells me that when she crashed she died and went up into heaven. She says she walked with God and that she saw heaven and that it was so beautiful. She says God gave her the option of staying up in heaven or coming back to me. She wanted to stay in heaven until she was allowed to see us here on earth and when she saw the pain I was going threw. That she chose to come back for me. Wow !!!! She gave up eternity in heaven with God to come and be with me. I am so lucky. That is true love.
