Hey, everyone, this is Mike. My story with the injury will be short, just to say I caught a Caddillac with my head in '74 at the age of nine. Far more important is where my life is now. The basics of my life are that I am an artist and healer. My art includes ther written word, visual art, performance art and, most importantly, healing art. With the written aspect, I create poems, songs, short stories, plays and one novella. Oh, and sometihg close to what I would most closely describe as a rock opera, except that the music is only in my head (darn it!!!). With healing work I use oils, herbs, metals, stones and Reiki. Reiki is a form of anceint massage with energy transferred from one person to another. There are verious levels of Reiki and I am at the Reiki Level. There is a rare level above that, the Fifth Level, and I have only met one person with that.

The other big part of my story would be my recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction. I have clean and sober now for a period of just under three and a half years. I was such for close to seven years, then after having three nervous breakdowns in a period of one year, I went back to using for a period of five days. As said, my recovery is now close to three and one half years.
