Dr. Mark Sherry

Hello

My name is Mark Sherry. My brain injury was a result of being run over by a car on 13th March 1992. For a long time, and even today, 10 years later, this was incredibly difficult to deal with. I have memory problems, mood swings, depression, concentration problems, anxiety, panic attacks, lots of pain, and seizures. However, despite feeling like I was all falling apart for a long time, I have not gone under. Ten years after my accident (in fact, a few months after my tenth anniversary) I got a Ph.D. in disability studies. There are lots of techniques I use to try to maintain motivation, to try to keep sane, to improve my memory, to deal with pain and seizures, and to deal with the continual challenge of living with a brain injury. If you are interested, I’d be happy to share my story with you and I’d be glad to encourage you along your own journey.
