I am Karyn Hughes. I had a serious car accident on June 11, 1996. My wreck was related to my job, so, I'm covered by Worker's Comp. I usually use a wheelchair, but can use a wheeled-walker, and it had armrests until a year ago. I use it a great deal, and I've compared it to turning a flip. Hard when you begin, but easier everytime you do it. My short-term memory is my greatest problem. When I had my wreck, I was about to have my 6th wedding anniversary. About a year ago, we separated, and my condition prevents independence, so I'm living with my parents, and will be 32 this year.
