Hi My name is Heather Stein. I got hit by a van five years ago. My leg got cut so they had to put stitches in my leg. I just recently found out I have TBI. I am scared to think of what do I do know. I am scared to go back to work because I have no idea whether I can do it physically or mentally. I need so much help right now work is not option. I need to get help for my TBI by getting cognitive therapy and need physical therapy for my back and leg that does not work. My family does not understand they just ask when are you going back to work. I feel like I fight this demon every day of my life. The demon of a disorder which you have no control over. I am lucky if I can remember two days ago but most of the time it is one day. I am waiting to hear from Medicaid to get into the DOH Waiver program which I have no idea what it does. Need to wait for food stamps too. I hope I hear from them soon or I will not get the help that I so desperately need for my TBI.
