I am a Survivor of a Brain Injury from 14 years ago.
I was a transport truck driver. I began with this company Feb. 89. I hauled large rolls of paper weighing about 1720 lbs. One week before my three month starting time I was making a delivery in Toronto, Ontario. Just before the company opens I just open the truck doors and wait. I am told that I was in the trailer, one of the rolls in the middle pushed the other rolls forward, hit me, pushed me out of the truck on to the ground. I landed on my left side, smacking my head on the pavement, also hurting my neck, left shoulder and back. I remember waking two and a half weeks later and saying give something for the pain. I spent 5 & 1.2 weeks at St. Michael's hospital in Toronto and then 4 months in Oshawa General Hospital. More in a little while.
