My son Corey just turned 9 years old. He has been diagnosed with ADD since he was 6 years old. He has been on several medications and not one seems to work. I have been doing some research on the net about head injuries. I am just wondering if this could be the problem instead of ADD. When he was 18 months old he fell behind our couch. Taking a pig figurine with him. When he fell it broke. Almost cutting one of his fingers off. It took one stitch. He cut his face which didn't require any stitches (just surgi-strips) and his head took seven stitches.Left side of his forehead at the hairline. When I picked him up a piece of the pig was stuck in his head which I pulled out without thinking. If I had stopped to think about it there was no way I would have had the nerve to pull it out. I took him to the hospital and they sewed him up. Not until recently had I thought that a piece of that pig could still be in his head. They DIDN'T x-ray him. I am going to mention that and possible brain injury to his doctor on his next visit next month. He is having alot of problems in school. And I feel like if it were ADD the medicine should help. I'm currently having him tested through the school. This will take three months and I'm not even sure if it will tell me anything different. I would love to hear from anyone with any information that can help me with my son.
