First, I would like to say God bless everyone. I was reading some of the stories and they brought tears to my eyes. Most of the stories that I have read was of fatal accidents and by the grace of god some of the victims are still holding on. On July 18th, 2002 my sister had come over to my house and informed me that my oldest brother was involved in a car accident. I really thought nothing of it and I will never forgot just hearing the words he didn't make it. I cried and I screamed for a whole week of, saying why? god why did my brother have to go home? My brother accident wasn't investigated properly, the trooper never looked into my brother wallet to see who he was. My cousin had went to 7-11 to get a cold soda that's when he learned that a hat and a pair of glasses looked exactly like me brothers. Then he proceeded to walk over and he looked down and he saw articles of clothing on that looked exactly like the one's my brother had on. He told the trooper hey that's my cousin, the trooper replied" so, you can't come over here" you want to do your cousin a favor go and call his family. The man who hit my brother is a well known minister in Gloucester, Virginia and he was allowed to get back in car without my creditable witnesses being questioned on my brother's behalf. The minister was not charged because the minister said that my brother walked out in the street and therefore, it was called a suicide type death. The minister left the state of Virginia, never contacted my family to this day, but my brother was buried on July 27, 2002 and he had the nerve to preach his sermon Sunday a day after my brother's death. How do you forgive a man of god that takes a person life and have no regard. My family is hurt and my brother is never coming back and for you to say you almost had a nervous breakdown and that's why you can't confront the family is bull. His insurance company doesn't wish to pay us for the accident because we had insurance on my brother and they think that we should take their world and just let my brother death be in vain. My brother is in a better place now, but he deserves justice and the truth needs to come out. After going through all of that how do you forgive?????? My brother skull was cracked, his limbs were broken, every bone in his body was broken and the minister say's now that he was only going 50 miles an hour. Please could someone tell me how do you forgive a state trooper who's job is to serve and protect us on these highways and minister who job is to help save lives and help families during these difficult times?
